Man follows GPS onto train tracks — when train coming

This article documents what makes us all nervous about trusting computers with our transportation. First I’ve ever heard of such a thing happening. The article is written semi-hazily, it doesn’t say whether or not it was the right time to cross onto the tracks (the barriers not being down would indicate that) and then he just got stuck (as could happen to anyone, even without a GPS), but they certainly seem to try to make it sound as though he barreled through the barrier without even thinking and then got stuck…
Craziness.

Not sure if you’ve read any CHICK TRACTS, but I wonder if they were behind this. These tracts are little cartoons with a recurring emphasis on a human-looking demon who rides shotgun and encourages the driver to go through a RR crossing (”sure you can make it!” “are you… CHICKEN???”). The inevitable result is that the dude perishes with a giant YAAAAAAAAA! sound and wakes up damned and the demon takes his mask off and basically calls him a sucker. Yeah, and we wonder why people are so turned off the gospel!?! CBB

I actually never had read them or even heard of them. I Googled them and came up with their homepage which has a complete listing of all their current tracts I guess. I couldn’t find any with the railroad crossing tract, even after doing this search in an attempt to turn it up. However, this tract should offer you a good enough introduction to their world. I love how the two reprobate sinners are dirty and fat and scrawny, smoking and all the rest, while the born again trucker is huge and muscular with a cut jaw line who’s simple message wins over even the waitress who has overheard him giving a message great for truckers and bikers. Sure matches the picture of Jesus who had an appearance that would not attract men to him.
Anyway, if you can find a link to that comic, I’d love to see it. :)
